Board of Directors 2005-2006
We had
another excellent Professional Development Meeting (PDM) in October in
Manitowoc. Denny McCullough gave a very interesting presentation on Lean and
Six Sigma. The meeting was very well
attended. This was due, in part, to a significant number of Manitowoc Cranes
Supply Chain professionals joining us. They are our newest Corporate Member,
and we are very pleased that they have chosen APICS, and the Shoreline Chapter
as a source for professional and educational offerings. Welcome! If other
companies with five or more prospective members are interested in a Corporate Membership contact any Board Member.
Plans are
in place for our next PDM on November 16th. This is our annual Student Night. The meeting is hosted by the APICS LTC Student
Chapter. We will be meeting at a location that is new to us; Butch's Opera
House in St. Nazianz. Please see the PDM section of the newsletter for all of the details including
directions. I'm looking forward to the
evening and hope that, as in September and October, many of you will join me
there.
At the
Association level there is quite a bit going on right now that you may find
interesting. More information is now available on the Certified Supply Chain
Professional (CSCP) program. Please visit the CSCP page on the
APICS website for details on the modules included in the program and
eligibility requirements. Also, several Webinars
are being offered within the next month.
The details are listed below. These are just a few of the offerings and
resources available on the APICS web
site. I visit it frequently and suggest you would find value in doing the
same.
