Board of Directors 2006-2007
This summer
newsletter has two main purposes. We wish to congratulate our award and
scholarship winners, who received their awards at the April PDM, and to make
the membership aware of our CPIM Review Classes and PDM schedule for the
upcoming year. Work continues to arrange speakers and facilities and details
will be communicated in future newsletters.
The
following individuals were recognized as members of the year at the April
Awards and Top Management Night PDM. Jim Prellwitz of Manitowoc Cranes was
selected as he has supported the chapter with attendance at nearly all PDM’s
for a number of years, even when he was working in
Our company
of the Year award went to Bemis Manufacturing Company. They were most deserving
as they have done so much for us through the years. They have always supported
membership and PDM attendance, but have also provided a President; Instructor,
and PDM keynote speaker in Kurt Petersen. Additionally, many Bemis employees
have participated in our CPIM Review Program, and in fact, they have provided
the venue for those classes for the past two years. Anyone who has taken the
review classes at the Bemis facility knows it is has an excellent training
room, well equipped and conducive to learning. Again, congratulations and thank
you for your support, in so many ways to Bemis.
Scholarships
were awarded to Rhonda Shermeister and Adam Jelenc. Both are students at
We’d also
like to congratulate Carolyn Johnson, our Vice President – Membership. She received special recognition at the 35th
Annual LTC Awards Banquet for her LTC Supply Chain Club activities,
especially this past year serving as President. She has demonstrated outstanding
leadership as evidenced by her facilitation of club meetings. Her participation
in the Region 14 Case Competition resulted in the LTC team finishing third
against 16 teams from other 2 year technical colleges and 4 year universities.
Please see
the schedules for our PDM’s and CPIM Review Classes in this newsletter.
Registration for the CPIM Review classes is open, so please contact me either
by phone or email (preferable) to register, or to get further information on
the program.
Have a
happy, healthy and safe August, and please join us at our PDM’s, or CPIM review
Classes beginning in September. I look forward to seeing you then.
