The
2009–2010 year is upon us. We have an
exciting year ahead of us, PDM’s are scheduled and classes are due to begin in
September. Check out the schedules in
the newsletter and mark your calendars to be sure you don’t miss any.

LTC students will be attending International Conference being held in

those of you thinking about attending the 2009 APICS International Conference
& Expo you can still save up to 400 USD when you register by Friday, August
7.
Metro
We
are looking at including a summer PDM in our schedule. BOD members will be asking you during the
year if this would be of interest to our members. If it is please let us know and we will look
at including one in our schedule. This
would also give members an opportunity to earn 1 more re-certification point
for the year.
We
look forward to an exciting year filled with many opportunities to expand our
horizons.

Certification Maintenance Points for
BOD participation:
At the chapter of APICS or another related national or
international association
• Three points per year as an officer of a governing board
(examples: president, vice president, or secretary/treasurer)
• Two points per year as a member of a governing board (examples:
vice president of educational development, or membership and chapter
development)
• Two points per year as the chair of a standing committee

The
classes will be held at The Bemis Company Plant N. Sheboygan Falls. The course fees are $250 for APICS members
and $325 for nonmembers, APICS Membership can be applied for through the APICS
web site:www.apics.org. The course fees include participant
guides/workbooks. Checks
for fees should be made out to Shoreline APICS Chapter, and should be sent to PO Box 1351 Manitowoc,
WI 54221-1351prior to the beginning of class. The class sizes are
limited to 20 students.
Note: Sessions may be cancelled should there
not be enough participants.

Instructor Honorariums: We are
currently seeking instructors for the CPIM review courses. The
instructors receive $750 as honorariums for every course and are eligible for 2
certification maintenance points per hour of instruction as outlined in the
maintenance manual. If you are
